  3. Configure .vscode/mcp.json per upstream — AS Help paths depend on your AS version and install location.

Other platforms

Cursor, Kilo Code, and generic MCP clients: follow upstream README per tool. Claude Code build tooling: bnr-claude-plugin only.

Data and security

MCP servers may read local AS Help or query the public B&R forum. Review upstream README for scope. Do not expose internal project or customer names in shared configs.
